- Tools required are normal hand carving tools, and carving glove. For power carving, you will need a Foredom, a micromotor, & dust collector. Also everyone shoud bring a woodburner.
STUDENT'S CHOICE: Design/Carve Project w George
You heard right! Bring your idea & work with George to design something of yours; OR if you like, carve one of George's fish, elks, santas, flowers, bears & many more that is already designed by George. George USALLY does a hybrid carving class, where he uses some manual carving AND some power carving. However, if you prefer to use all manual OR all power, he will instruct using your preferred method. So if you have an idea for a carving & need a cutout or don't know where to start, this is your Seminar!! Together you and George will design your project and George will furnish you a blank. Or do you need help on a project you started and want to finish it? That is also an option available. When you sign up for this Seminar, you will need to contact George as soon as possible, so that there is plenty of time to design your project!! The Seminar is limited to 8 students, so you will receive lots of help along the way. If you intend to power carve or power sand, a dust collector is mandatory! This will be disussed during the design stage. Seminar . Also, bring a woodburner. Seminar fee is $175 for SIX days! Note: THIS SEMINAR STARTS ON SUNDAY!
