Old World Ornament Santa Bust Ornament
Butch is a new instructor this year from Weatherford TX. He is teaching how to hand carve a 7-inch Old World Santa Bust Ornament from a triangular block. There will be three 1-day Seminars. Take 1, 2, or all 3 days and carve as many as you like.
There are many designs for the hair (beards) & hats. Bring the tools you have! Sharpness of tools is important! Tools Butch uses to do this project: knife, V-tool, #3 gouge (12mm), #7 gouges (6, 10, 12, & 14mm). #9 gouges (5 & 8 mm) & #11 gouge (3 & 10 mm). Wood burners are not required, but may be used on the beards by students if they desire. Also beards can be pierced if you choose. This seminar requires a minimum of 5 students.
